Late november visit to Helsinki

In the last more than three months, since I moved away from home, I had the chance to visit two capitals in the "neighbourhood" in which I have never been before: Riga and Tallinn. Both needed around 17 hours to get there (and back - of course the same) on a floating city, which may seems to be quite a long time but with the perfect mix of company, drinks and party it all goes by in a couple of blinks, believe me. :)

After the first two trips, better said, already after booking the tickets to Tallinn I felt that I must really visit Helsinki as well before the Christmas break, hopefully catching some snow too. The price of these kind of city breaks isn't expensive at all (7-8€ back and forth), so the opportunity was there, I just had to grab it. Fortunately the company wasn't a question at that time already, in the person of Beáta and Tímea. :)

Helsinki waited for us with an unfamiliar grey and snowy weather (yeeeah!! - although it didn't last long), of which we were already used to thanks to the three months of staying in a city with predominantly bad weather - "There is no such thing as bad weather, only bad clothes."

The 6 free hours we had to wander around the city and discover it seemed to be enough, but after the half of it has passed, I realised that I was wrong initially. No problem, Helsinki is one of the three city "across the bay", in an affordable distance for a weekend trip anytime you want and I'm sure that I will walk on its streets again when the days will be longer and the night shorter. :) Until then, see you Helsinki!
