God jul! - Christmas mood in Stockholm

I can't find the words to write here anything. I still can't believe that in 10 days it's the time of the year when families are supposed to reunite from every corner of the world to spend together couple of days, to heal our souls a bit, then to continue our everyday life as if nothing happened, waiting for the next year to come. That's how years go by nowadays and they are just running faster and faster as you grow older and get used to your everyday habits.

Okay, enough from silly thoughts, I got drifted away a bit in my own mind, which does *NOT* happen a lot of times in writing - never yet.

Saturday evening (well, this covers almost the whole day, especially if you wake up late), I took my gear and headed to Gamla Stan, to visit the famous Christmas market of which everybody talks. It is indeed nice and comfy, although because of the limitations of Stortorget (=big square/main square), it isn't big enough for this nice market, full of joy and harmony. Otherwise it's pleasant to walk between the boutiques, share the joy with the visitors, taking their kids there also.

After the market visit I walked up to Kungsträdgården, where another market can be found, which I didn't catch while it was open (both close at 6 PM). The skate-rink installed there attracts a large number of people, especially action seeker children and youngs. The illuminated path between the trees makes you want winter not to end.

In conclusion it's an exceptional feeling to walk around Stockholm during Christmas and before, the feeling of love is all around, as it is said, it's n the air, literally. So grab somebody who is close to you and spend an evening out and drink a glass of glögg :)

P.S. My camera will have its surgery next week to regain its health to 100%. Hopefully after that I can offer you pictures more often.
